Don't feel bad, I have the exact same cut on the exact same finger only lower down. I got sloppy with a hatchet. I still have all the movement but lost the nerves and feeling on the end of the finger tip. Unlike yours, my accident was the product of stupidity and negligence and served me right.
Oh you give me far too much credit. No one ever said I was the sharpest pencil in the box. Stupidity and negligence were certainly the preeminent cause of this as well. As for communication, the bandage actually enhances it.
